讲座:通过交互参与式活动促进学生的课堂学习
Increasing student learning through interactive-engagement activities
时间:2015年6月23日(星期二)下午3:00~
地点:复旦大学邯郸校区光华楼东主楼29楼2901室
嘉宾:Duane L. Deardorff, PhD, Professor,The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
主持:乐永康 博士(复旦大学物理学系)
讲座背景与内容:There is overwhelming evidence from research studies that show improved learning gains in environments where students are actively involved in making sense of physics concepts rather than passively receiving information about these topics. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, they have been working to reform our introductory physics courses to utilize more active learning strategies by moving away from a traditional Lecture/Lab/Recitation format to a more integrated Lecture/Studio format that is based partly on the SCALE-UP and Studio physics models. In this talk, the speaker will share information about how they have developed and implemented the new curriculum, resources that are utilized, and what they have learned from the process.
嘉宾简介:Duane L. Deardorff, PhD, is a physics professor at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he specializes in assessing students’ understanding of physics and developing curricula to enhance students’ understanding. He has presented numerous talks on physics education, assessment, physics lab innovations, and the development and implementation of integrated lecture/laboratory courses. He is a recognized expert in measurement uncertainty and students' understanding of error analysis. Dr. Deardorff has held national positions on laboratory committees in the American Association of Physics Teachers, an organization dedicated to the advancement of physics teaching and learning. His research interests include laboratory performance assessment, students’ treatment of measurement uncertainty, and improvement of physics teacher training.
